Local Area
Roma Saleyards is the largest cattle selling facility in the southern hemisphere, Auctions happen every Tuesday and Thursday morning. You can tour the sale on sale day and are FREE of Charge. Tours are held on Tuesday and Thursday from April-October and Tuesday only during the summer months November- March.
The Big Rig Centre and Night Show comprised of a display of the Australian Oil and Gas industry and The Night Show is an entertaining outdoor light and sound display and the local area. They also have a beautiful café and gift shop which will please everybody who visits.
The Roma Express is a miniature Train that travels on a 1.4 km track around the Big Rig Complex, over the Bungil Creek and along the parklands. Open from 9.00am to 1.00pm. Every Day but Monday which is only every second Monday, The cost is $2 per person, under 3 is free. The train does not operate between November and March.
Avenue of Heroes is an Avenue of 140 bottle trees and line the street of Roma. They are a tribute to the Soldiers from the Roma and District who lost their lives in the First WW.
Windows of St Paul’s Anglican Church have the most amazing display of stained glass windows. The fifty stunning windows dating back from 1876. You can tour St Paul between the months of April and October.
Roma Court House was built around 1907 and has been restored to its original self. The building is listed and is the site of the Harry Redford Trail.
